I had spent the day over the border in juarez and wanted a sit down dinner. 25 minute wait, which was not a problem. Hostess and server were very friendly and I got a booth to myself! I ended up inviting a mother and son to dine with me so they didn't have to wait. Scott and Sandy were lovely and paid for my meal that was delicious! Salsa had very good flavor and a lil spice. I highly recommend!

Went at 1:00 on a Thursday and waited 10 minutes, which is a good sign because this place was packed. Found out later it was packed with locals, because lots of people stopped at other tables to say hello to their friends. We ordered Chile rellenos and a vegetarian taco bowl and both were outstanding. Rice was bad, refried beans were ok. And the nachos with both red and white salsa were also wonderful. Reasonable prices, our server was good, and we'd happily return.

Excellent, unpretentious restaurant that gives much better value than average. I had chimichangas on a visit on Feb. 25, and they were excellent--better than those I've had at much more expensive places. The waiter was helpful, and the friends I was with were quite happy with their meals. The only thing that could be improved is the attitude of the woman at the front. Apparently, it was near the end of service, and she didn't look happy to see us.

Great Mexican food. From the outside it doesn't look like much. But upon entering it looks and feels like an authentic Mexican food restaurant. The chips and sour cream dip they bring out while you wait just hits the spot. I had a smothered burrito, the wife a taco salad and my oldest kid tostados and all were very well made. My youngest ordered from the kids menu and got a cheeseburger. So they have options for those picky eaters. They do take cards but advertise cash preferred. If your a local and haven't tried this place your missing out. If your driving through or vacationing, this is definitely a place to stop. Affordable great tasting Mexican food.

Looking for the next great hole in the wall? This is the place. Short wait to be seated but this place was so busy.so many folks were ordering take out they had to pause so the kitchen could keep up with the plethora of orders. I have had a lot of shredded beef and this ranks up with the best. Tons of flavor in the meat and the chimichanga plate was excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Easy to see this is a place the locals call favorite. Going back every chance I get

Great food, coupled with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The place was very busy, but the service moved quickly and the food is probably the best mexican you can get in town.

We were visiting from out of town and stopped here for dinner. My husband and I got the Si Señor Fiesta Combo and shared it. It was a lot of food for two people and we even took some home. The posole was so good! It also came with dessert. Service was great as well! It seemed like a lot of locals were dining here.

An informal place to get a great New Mexican meal. CJ’s is busy, but don’t let the wait put you off if there is one. We waited less than 15 minutes for a table, and it was well worth it. It is a large restaurant with lots of table turnover, so be patient. I had the chile rellenos with both their red and green sauce on top. The dish is served with an excellent Mexican rice and beans (whole beans which is very New Mexican). The complimentary chips come with a nice salsa and a green chile crema. Don’t forget to order one of their Blood Orange Margaritas or a Sangria to go with your meal. Service was excellent. Lots of families and the restaurant has a family-run feel to it. They prefer cash payment, but it is no problem to pay with a card.
